Meet the Team

You don’t have to love cars and dogs to work here, but it helps!

Angus – Owner Director

Owner Angus did his engineering apprenticeship with the MOD before working in the aerospace hydraulics industry for the following 7 years. Before setting up The VW Camper Company he worked in Motorsport for 15 years with time spent in the world Rally championship, the British touring car championship and F1 in most available roles including engineering, sales, sponsorship, hospitality and driver management.

When he decided to set up his own business, it was a natural progression to capitalise on his experience with the German marque that had started in the 1970s with VW beach buggies. Having established its credentials with many clients from 2005 to 2009, the VW Camper Company grew by customer demand into regular servicing, and then restoration.

This lead to expansion into the area of Porsche and a trip to the USA for the acquisition of the models that were fast becoming demanded and sought after by British customers. His passion for Porsche was re-ignited and Greatworth Classics was born. The company’s first full restoration was a Porsche 356 during 2012 which was then taken to the HERO Classic Marathon from Spa to Cortina, during which many lessons were learned and skills polished!

Angus’s wife Karen is a co-director and runs a coaching business. Their kids Fynn, Max and Vivi are all petrol heads too and very much part of the business. Labrador “Butzi”, nephew of Amanda’s dog, is Head of Security.
